Let these 4 tips guide you into having more intimate time with yourself, aimed to relieve stressors and lessen the chance of overwhelm days deterring you from being the best version of yourself.

With deciding that I wanted to document my 'self care'/self value journey, I often get overly anxious with the efforts it will take in getting out of my own way and being the beacon of the light the universe is so urging me that I am! For anyone who is on this journey of elevation (or ascension), ya'll know how challenging & painful shedding the skin of your old self while transitioning into the neu you (shout out to NEU ME BODY Sculpting) can be, how easy it is to fall back into old ways of thinking, doing, and receiving. So when it comes to facing these challenges, we are to remain in balance with reality and our desires. We have to be mindful of what we are making these changes for and anticipate the better version of living that awaits us.
Mindfulness to me is simply being in a state of contentment, and while being present is the ultimate self care technique for tapping into your inner thoughts it also heightens your self-awareness as well. Here are 4 ways I have been utilizing mindfulness to get through my day to day with a bit more ease rather than in distress, these tips don't have to be addressed in any specific order, but I have put them in order based on how I began my day.
Tip #1 - Journaling
Writing things down will always be my go to for any form of mental clarity. For me, journaling helps process any thought or emotion that may be stuck in limbo (in my head) allowing me to honor what's being felt without passing any judgement but giving myself time to make out what's making me dwell on whatever it is that's weighing on my mind. Whether I am 'brain dumping', or openly expressing what may be bothering me, journaling enables me to tend to these ordeals and move on from it. One of my favorite methods to brain dump is creating a list of things I need to address, making it clear to me what my daily/weekly/monthly focus should be. This also motivates my intention setting when taking literal action toward my goals or tasks.
Tip #2 - Sitting in Silence
Being in a state of calm may seem hard to come by nowadays with such high thriving days we often encounter, overlooking the benefit in just being still. Sitting (or laying down) in quiet, taking the time to breathe, allows your mind and body to be in a state of release. Letting go of any negative feeling or mind-boggling concerns, and simply accepting what is. Leaning into surrender showing gratitude, letting the universe know you have all faith and trust in matters working in your favor. I also use this time to physically stretch my body, I am like a walking glow stick, I'm always cracking & popping!, letting all overbearing and wearing energy wither out of me.

Tip #3 - Mirror Gazing
Looking at yourself in the mirror, and when I say looking I mean actually staring yourself down and saying nice things. Say nice things to yourself, about yourself stimulates self love and it radiates self confidence in your actions. Let yourself know you are smart, you are destined, you are divine, because when you acknowledge your worth, you began to value yourself more and no longer need external validation. Putting yourself on a pedestal no one or anything can knock you down from, saying YOU ARE THAT GIRL/GUY!
SELF LOVE, SELF CONFIDENCE, SELF WORTH - these are all qualities needed to be conscious of who you are, where you’re at in life, where you're going in life and what you want out of it!!!
Tip #4 - Podcast Listening
Emphasis on listening to a podcast that stimulates mindfulness, appeases your interests and can learn you something is essential to intellectual development. I like to listen to pods pertaining to mental health, self-care, self-help, TED talks etc. as it activates my active listening skills and is processed as brain food. Oh! How I love me some brain food! Brain Food is what I like to refer to as resources that are beneficial our enlightenment. Just like we feed our guts, we should be frequently feeding our brains, exercising our minds and stretching our thoughts to think bigger and better than we did before, as life is about expanding and advancement.
Now although there are many ways to practice mindfulness, these 4 techniques are what makes me feel my best and be at my best in my day to day. And since I believe repetition is key with anything that wants to be done with naturally, practicing this daily will allow it all to become 2nd nature to you. I also highly recommend purchasing a copy of my SELF CARE JOURNAL, I have available on Amazon https://tr.ee/HpjAHLwMbg meant for intention setting and self reflecting to get you started or assist with your own journey of self exploration and self admiration. Leave a comment below offering ways you practice mindfulness, or any tools or tokens you may use to assist :) ttyl!
